Mendenhall proves he’s ready
After last nights game against the Broncos, Rashard Mendenhall silenced any doubts on whether he is going to be the Steelers number one back. It gave Pittsburgh a completely new dimension to their team. His performance was serious with 155 yards on 22 carries.
Everything he did last night showed he has what it takes. He has great vision. He was running really well both off tackle and up the middle. He seems to have great anticipation of what’s going to happen around him. He has good patience. He has a good balance of quickness, power and speed.
If this guy can clean up his fumbling problem he’s going to be a stud for Pittsburgh coming down the stretch here. Pittsburgh is known for great defense and a great running game. Right now they’d be crazy to try and be a passing team. Rashard Mendenhall has the most talent out of any of the running backs they’ve ever had, and he fits perfectly into their system. He has a chance to be a superstar in this league for a long time.
