Kansas Citys transformation is almost complete
So the Chiefs have taken another step towards their ultimate goal of becoming the Kansas City Patriots. According to team and league sources Charlie Weis will be announced as the teams new offensive coordinator.
Weis was let go of his duties as Notre Dame head coach after never getting the job done. Todd Haley served as the teams offensive coordinator this past season.
When Weis was in New England he helped the Patriots win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years. He is also said to have had a large impact on the development of Tom Brady.
Whether the Chiefs start to turn things around next year remains to be seen. One thing that is certain though is the stress Kansas City fans will go through trying to figure out what the hell Weis is doing. His play calling in New England was very unpredictable to say the least, but that seemed to have worked well.
Now there is even talk of bringing in Romeo Crennel as the teams new defensive coordinator. No surprises there when you look at what the Chiefs are trying to do. The one thing they’re missing though if they want to be the Patriots is Bill Belichick. You can try and copy everything they do, you could even change your team colors to blue and silver. But what makes the Patriots the Patriots is Belichick, and no person or team can replicate him.
