Packers win on the field and lose on the roster
Green Bays win yesterday over the 49ers comes with two losses. The Packers lost starting cornerback Al Harris and starting outside linebacker Aaron Kampman for the season, both with knee injuries.
This is shithouse luck for the Packers. Losing both of those players is going to hurt their defense significantly. Right now the Packers are trying to keep pace in the wildcard race, their chances of catching the Vikings in the division are slim.
Kampman is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season which means this could be his last game in a Packers uniform.
His move to outside linebacker seemed to be the wrong one. He just doesn’t look like he fits at that position. If the Packers want to try and keep him at linebacker I can guarantee he’s played his last game in Green Bay.
